General Landry: Today we honor the brave men and women of America who have sacrificed, fought, and - in some cases - gave their lives to defend this great nation.

General Landry: Following Judge Johnson’s dismissal of Governor Edwards’ challenge to my legal authority, the Governor continues to violate his duty to faithfully execute the laws by legislating through executive fiat. Today, I filed a petition so the court may decide if the Governor can circumvent the Legislature to create his own law.

General Landry: I will not cower to executive overreach; rather, I will continue to defend our Constitution and the will of the people.

General Landry: With so many of our State’s vulnerable being added to the Medicaid system, it is critical we ramp up our fight to stop fraud and abuse.

General Landry: From receiving and investigating consumer complaints to educating victims of potential scams, the Louisiana Department of Justice remains dedicated to serving the people of our State and protecting their precious tax dollars.

General Landry: Our award-winning fraud detection and prevention unit will continue to protect our State’s valuable resources by arresting criminals who defraud Louisiana.

General Landry: As I said when we arrested Mr. Mack – the Louisiana Department of Justice will investigate, apprehend, and prosecute those who defraud our State and its people.

General Landry: My office will continue to pursue and arrest those who prey on our children. We will bring those who exploit our children to justice.

General Landry: Credit card companies, lenders, financial institutions, landlords, utilities, and others may offer help to people affected by the flood.

General Landry: The public should be able to trust that their government works for them in an admirable and respectable way. My office will not stand for corrupt officials, elected or appointed.

General Landry: I will continue to do all that I can to advance the best interests of Louisiana and stop onerous, expensive, and unnecessary government regulations on our people and job creators.

General Landry: I am proud that our efforts to expose the actions of the DOJ and the City of New Orleans have resulted in substantive changes to the City’s policies.
